The Isle of Wight is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and designated UNESCO biosphere, and it lives up to the name!
It's full to the brim with stunning views and beautiful countryside, and you can explore it all. Whether you're nipping down the coast to Steephill Cove, or following the Coastal Path around the whole island, there's a route for you. See if you can spot one of the Island's elusive red squirrels!
For the more sedate, a wander around Ventnor's Botanical Gardens might be just the ticket. Only a ten-minute stroll from our front gate, the Botanical Gardens hold tropical plants from across the globe, sheltered in Ventnor's unique microclimate. Find our more at their website.
The Isle of Wight Walking Festival takes place in early May every year, with over a hundred guided walks spanning the length and breadth of the Island. It's one of the UK's longest running walking festivals!
Down below are the Viewranger maps for some of our favourite walks - some right from the front door. Please use them as guidance, plenty of short cuts and variations are possible!
